Task

With the Sazka mobile app, the goal was to make it possible for users to check their lottery tickets and monitor winning numbers anytime, anywhere. Now, customers only need to place their bets and the app takes care of the rest, sending instant push notifications of winning numbers, prize amounts and draw results. Users can also use the app to find the nearest physical Sazka betting stations if they want to bet in person.

Solution

The application allows you to check your results by scanning your ticket or by entering the numbers manually. We implemented an algorithm for each game to make sure this is done correctly. This way, you can check your numbers even if, for some reason, you can't scan your ticket. You can also save your numbers to check them later or to reuse your favourites in future bets. They'll even be available offline. You can set reminders for your favourite games or for when a draw is announced, and the app will send you the reminder as a push notification. Because of the large number of users and the need to inform them of results without delay, the app is equipped with a push server, which can send over 100,000 targeted notifications in minutes.

We've worked with the guys from adastra.one (formerly Anywhere Mobile Apps) since 2013, and we've always considered them partners rather than just suppliers. In return, we've enjoyed the same approach from them. Thanks to this relationship, we've managed to develop a successful application that has received really positive feedback. As it became legal to play the lottery online, we had the opportunity to create a new application from the ground up and turn it into a revenue-generating channel. adastra.one took on this rather challenging task with a professional attitude, and consolidated multiple autonomous systems into one coherent entity that has become an indispensable touchpoint for our customers placing bets.
